Welcome

Manassas Rotary Club Helps the People of Haiti!

(L-R) Peter Derr and Dr. Gill Irwin of Medical Missionaries, John Hampton (International Service Director of the Manassas Rotary Club) and Susan Strom (2009-2010 Manassas Rotary Club President).

Manassas Rotarians recently presented a $25,000 check to Medical Missionaries, a society of medical and lay personnel commited to providing health services to the people of Thomasique, Haiti and other impoverished areas around the world. The Manassas Rotary Club, with financial partnership with 10 other Rotary Clubs within Rotary District 7610 in Virginia, and a $1000 donation from the Rotary Club of Provodenciales in Turks & Caicos Islands, is excited to help provide an overnight wing to Haitian medical patients who walk as far as 4-6 hours to the clinic for aid. The new wing will allow these patients to recover prior to returning home.
